PLUR Fairey
PLUR: An acronym (sometimes seen as “PLURR” due to the last “R”) that stands for "Peace, Love, Unity, Respect (Responsibility)", a credo of the rave culture. Many in the rave scene have heard this term at sometime or another, although its common usage is relatively recent.
A few years ago (going on 8 now I believe), a man by the online name of Crush decided to write a bit of an experiment paper on the possibilities of PLUR Experimentation. I will admit: Most of this is funny. However, it isn’t for the humorless; especially towards the end, it is a bit gritty and quite…well, words don’t describe it so I won’t go into detail further; just know it isn’t kind.
Please know that I did not come up with this. These experiments are fairly hard to find on the internet (complete). Furthermore, you should know that the originals aren’t completed in-and-of themselves. The author, Crush, never finished doing them and so it ends on a rather odd (**ahem**stupid**ahem**) finale. I’ll let you enjoy them though as I’ve centralized it all here. Please note I’ve kept the experiments in their original forms, changing only the terrible grammar mistakes as well as formatting. The e-mail at the end of each experiment doesn’t seem to work any longer (I wouldn’t expect it to anyway; apparently Crush got a ton of flak from this publication), so don’t go trying it…please.
